Well, you have your first 6th grade science test under your belt! Congratulations!
First, a big BOOYAH! to Lunise Lebrun for taking home the top score on the multiple choice part of the test. BOOYAH!
Second, all students (most?) have their multiple choice results in hand. Graded Open Responses will come back Wednesday for some classes and Thursday for others. Hopefully you can take this opportunity to take stock of your academic efforts to date.
- Are you working hard enough?
- Are you reviewing your notes every night?
- Are you completing all of your homework? And, are you completing the homework thoughtfully and carefully?
- Are you following along with class discussions?
- Are you engaged in every class all class period long?
- Do your academic skills (reading, writing, problem solving, math facts, etc) match the requirements of 6th grade?
If you answered, "No!" to any of these questions, then NOW is the time to change and start working hard at whatever you are struggling on. Now is the time to start studying more, spending more time on homework, going to office hours, doing extra reading to sharpen your brain cells. If you aren't spending at least 2 hours every afternoon doing homework, studying, and reading - and 4 hours on half-day wednesdays then you are not working hard enough! And, for some folks, you may need to work harder than that!
Okay, academic rant over.
Students wishing to improve their test scores can complete an error log. You must complete the form below (available on paper in the classroom) for EVERY question you missed. If you correct the questions correctly and explain all of your answers, you will get 1/2 of your missing points back. Please let me know if you have any questions.

The error log for this first test is due next Tuesday. (First student who emails me whatever date next Tuesday is gets extra credit.)
